Why Visit During High Season?
- Beach heaven – Soft sand, blue skies, warm water. Paradise!

- Party vibes – Christmas, New Year’s, and Chinese New Year bring awesome celebrations.

Downsides
- It’s pricey – Hotels and flights cost way more. Especially during Peak season (between Christmas and mid-January), the prices skyrocket! Book early!

Welcome to Phuket’s hottest months! Trust me, I’ve been through this heat with my family. It’s intense! But if you can handle it, you’ll enjoy fewer crowds, lower prices, and a more relaxed vibe. Just be ready to sweat buckets. April is considered the driest month of all and also brings the highest temperatures.

- Crazy hot and humid – Temps often hit 34°C (93°F). We always carry extra water for the kids.
- Some rain – Short bursts of showers, but mostly sunny.
- Calm seas – Still great for swimming and water sports.
Why Visit During Shoulder Season?
- Fewer tourists – The beaches are quieter. No fighting for sun loungers!
- Better deals – Hotels and outdoor activities drop their prices after peak season.
- Still good beach days – The sea is warm, and boat trips still run.

- It’s SERIOUSLY hot – Walk outside for five minutes and you’ll feel like melted ice cream.

- Songkran Festival (April) – Thailand’s famous water fight festival and also considered Thai New Year. Imagine a giant nationwide water battle—streets turn into splash zones, and no one stays dry! Phuket has a ton of places to stay, from budget beach bungalows to fancy five-star resorts.
If you want nightlife and shopping at your doorstep, Patong is where it’s at—but be ready for crowds and chaos (I personally don’t like Patong at all). Kata and Karon give you a mix of convenience and chill, while Bang Tao and Nai Harn are family favorites with quieter beaches and big resorts.
