About
Hi, I am Lulu.
I am a journalist, mum of two, wife, and Family Travel Expert. Since 2019 I have been traveling the world with my family of four and Thailand has become our home base.
Life used to feel very different. In Germany our days were full and our weekends were short. We tried to squeeze adventures into the school holidays and those 26 vacation days never felt like enough. I wanted more time with my girls and I wanted to show them the world while they were still small and curious.
So we made a brave choice. We sold everything and booked a one way ticket to Thailand. It was exciting and scary at the same time, but it was the best decision we ever made.
Since then, we have lived and traveled in Thailand, Bali, New Zealand, South Africa, and other beautiful places. We have done long flights with babies, found playgrounds in foreign cities, dealt with jet lag, chosen international schools, handled rainy seasons, and learned how to make travel feel more relaxed and enjoyable with children.
This blog grew from that journey. Here on Nomadmum, I share honest tips and real-life guides to help families travel more easily and with more joy.
I write about destinations, family-friendly activities, vegetarian food spots, hotel experiences, and what life abroad with kids truly looks like. Everything I share comes from places we have actually visited and experiences we have lived through.
I write a lot about Thailand because we spend most of our time here. You will find detailed guides on Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Phuket and Bangkok. My girls have grown up here, and many of my recommendations come from our daily life and not just from trips.
